Collaboration

The following list was co-authored by the members of this course. All members are encouraged to uphold these agreed upon expectations during day-to-day classroom activities and technical learning, and in our team-based final projects.

Core Practices for Collaboration:

-decide upon a fair division of work (determined by individual groups; take different skill sets into consideration)

-listen; be open to others’ ideas (projects should not be 1 person’s vision; rather, they should reflect the ideas and aims of the group as a whole)

-give honest, generous, and productive feedback that can help others enrich their work

-take personal responsibility; cultivate knowledge for your specific project and develop an understanding of the project goals (as determined by your group); respect deadlines (for the course, and for your team’s work schedule)

-communicate regularly outside of class; respond to emails, texts, etc. in a timely manner
